The Technical Sales Manager will support the internal sales team dealers and customers to provide solutions utilizing slipform paving equipment while establishing themselves as the product expert. This role requires extensive product knowledge developing key relationships with factory or industry experts and creating a valueadd partnership with dealers and customers in the U.S. and Canada.
Key Responsibilities :
Provide technical sales assistance to the dealer and sales team. Product knowledge is essential as the candidate will be required to specify design and assist in recommending the required equipment for the customer.
Work closely with district sales managers in developing and training the dealer network within the specified sales territory. The candidate should be comfortable presenting to large groups and demonstrating confidence and knowledge when educating the existing or new sales team.
Serve as a product expert with a full comprehensive understanding of machine applications.
Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from newspapers business directories industry ads trade shows websites and other sources.
Travel through assigned territory to dealer locations prospective and existing customers with the intent of increasing sales opportunities.
Continually apprise management and the inside sales team of market technological and competitive developments.
Attend various industry shows and events to support the brand and products.
Travel up to 70% (monthly average) to visit customers with area managers dealer salespersons and perform product training; may include international travel.
Perform other related responsibilities for Slipform Paving Products.

Education and Experience :
Associate degree or higher (Bachelors degree preferred) and / or experience in road construction pavement recycling or soil stabilization; or a combination of education and experience.
