Position: Retained Disposal Technician
Location: Erlanger, KY - 41018
Duration: 6 Months temp
Pay Rate: $18/hr.
Shift: M-F 1st shift
The Retained Disposal Technician is responsible for managing the proper handling, tracking, and disposal of retained product samples in accordance with company policies, regulatory guidelines, and environmental standards. This role ensures safe and efficient disposal processes while maintaining detailed documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
Key Responsibilities
- Sample Identification and Tracking:
- Retrieve and verify retained samples scheduled for disposal according to retention timelines.
- Ensure samples meet disposal criteria and document any discrepancies.
Proper Disposal:
- Execute disposal procedures in compliance with company policies, environmental regulations, and safety standards.
- Collaborate with waste management vendors as necessary.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed records of disposed samples, including quantity, type, and disposal methods.
- Update tracking systems and generate disposal reports for internal and external audits.
Compliance and Safety:
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Stay informed of and comply with local, state, and federal regulations related to hazardous material disposal.
Quality Assurance Support:
- Assist in the inventory management of retained samples.
- Ensure compliance with quality assurance processes, including proper storage and disposal timelines.
Qualifications and Skill
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Ability to follow precise procedures and protocols.
- Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
Preferred:
- Previous experience in waste management, quality control, or a related field.
- Knowledge of hazardous material handling and disposal regulations.
- Certification in waste disposal or environmental safety practices.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Prolonged periods of standing, walking, or bending.
- Exposure to potentially hazardous materials; proper training and PPE will be provided.
