JOB DESCRIPTION
Experienced Payroll Clerk will work with limited supervision to prepare and submit weekly payroll to ADP. Insures successful upload of payroll to Netsuite. This individual must demonstrate strong attention to detail, work independently as needed, and must have a strong customer service outlook.
Reports to: Controller
Location: North Salt Lake City, UT
Status: Full-time
Hourly Pay Rate: $24-$28/ hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities
· Prepare and process payroll using Procore, ADP and Netsuite, ensuring accuracy and compliance, while meeting payroll deadlines.
· Apply job costing accurately.
· Maintain and update employee payroll and HR records, process routine changes, interact with employees via email and phone to quickly and professionally resolve issues.
· Assist with benefits.
· Process garnishment requests, including child support
· Support audits.
· Prepare and submit OCIP reports to our customers.
· Assist the Payroll Manager with payroll processing.
· Be a contributing member of the company back-office team.
· Perform other tasks as assigned by the controller.
Requirements
· Minimum of 2-3 years of payroll processing experience.
· Proficiency in payroll software. ADP and Netsuite a plus.
· Strong understanding of payroll laws and standards.
· Attention to accuracy and detail.
· Excellent organizational, written and oral communication skills.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, One Drive).
· Ability to work independently.
· Working with Unions and Certified Payroll Experience a plus.
· Clear understanding of benefits and how they apply to the payroll process.
· Maintain strict confidentiality and ensure all processes follow company policies.
· On-site work. This is not a remote position.
Education/Experience
· Associate degree in relevant field or relevant experience. High School Diploma or equivalent required.
