Over 2,500 providers with nearly 7,000 locations rely on VGM to connect them to valuable resources every single day.

A key service provided to members of VGM & Associates is business enhancement and performance consulting. We are seeking an experienced technical sales professional as we continue to grow our value and services offered.

Position Summary

The Business Solutions Account Executive will be responsible for consulting with members of VGM to ensure they are connected to technology and business solutions that support their business objectives. The AE will work with cross-functional teams to effectively identify development and sales efforts for consulting services, VGM Education services, and technology integrations.

The AE will visit customer locations periodically to ensure satisfaction and promote ongoing contract renewal, provide sales quotations, and respond to requests for proposals. A successful AE will identify and pursue new business opportunities, manage, and grow existing key accounts, and work closely with various teams to ensure the success of various programs.

The ideal candidate has technical knowledge that can be utilized in partnership with their sales skills to communicate complex information to customers within the HME industry.

Working Location : Open to hybrid or remote with frequent travel required

Work Hours Classification : Full-time, exempt

Position Responsibilities

The Business Solutions Account Executive will be responsible for selling consulting and business solution services, VGM Education, and connecting members with technical solutions to support their business.

  • Understand customer’s business, needs, and challenges through excellent relationship building and communication skills
  • Recommend and suggest suitable products or services that positively impact member business goals
  • Implement and perform monthly, quarterly, and annual sales forecasts
  • Develop and implement effective sales strategies
  • Discuss products with customers and explain technical concepts in simple terms
  • Consistent and detailed use of CRM system to track and manage all sales activities and pipeline opportunities
  • Identify new business opportunities and cultivate relationships
  • Prepare and present regular updates on key account performance and progress to team
  • Consult with members of VGM to ensure they are connected to technology and business services that support their business objectives
  • Promote a positive image for VGM by participating in tradeshows, professional organizations, and community functions

Position Qualifications

Education / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree desired
  • 5 years’ technical sales experience required
  • Extensive HME market knowledge and proven success highly preferred
  • Skills and competencies

  • Experience with B2B consultative sales, selling to senior leadership in healthcare markets
  • Proven record of exceeding sales quotas
  • Expertise with technology (Dynamics 365, PowerPoint, Excel, web-based software applications, etc.)
  • Strong organization, planning, and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to build relationships, rapport, and respect of customers
  • Sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
  • Physical Requirements

  • Operation of office equipment and using technology efficiently such as computers, phones, misc. office equipment
  • Visual abilities to include reading, distance vision and peripheral vision
  • Regular overnight travel
  • Moving throughout the VGM facilities when needed
