Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and skilled Network Engineer to join our team in Montvale, NJ. This onsite role is perfect for a networking professional with junior to mid-level experience who is eager to contribute to our dynamic environment. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with networking, cabling, and switching, as well as familiarity with data center operations. A background in system administration is a strong plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Configure, manage, and troubleshoot networking equipment, including switches and cabling infrastructure.
- Monitor and maintain network performance to ensure uptime and optimal functionality.
- Perform regular maintenance and updates in the Data Center to support uninterrupted operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve connectivity issues and ensure seamless communication across systems.
- Maintain documentation for network configurations, changes, and processes.
- Assist in hardware installations, migrations, and upgrades within the data center.
- Leverage system administration skills (if applicable) to support overall IT infrastructure.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of networking, including switching, routing, and cabling standards.
- Hands-on experience with Data Center operations and understanding of related best practices.
- Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
- Basic knowledge of system administration is a plus (e.g., Windows or Linux environments).
