What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director Infection Prevention position at VHC Health?
The Director of Infection Prevention (IP) is responsible for leading, implementing, and overseeing all aspects of infection prevention and control within VHC Health. The individual in this position is responsible for the health and safety of patients, staff, providers, contractors, and visitors regarding the identification and / or prevention of nosocomial infections and exposure to communicable diseases, through the utilization of OSHA standards and CDC guidelines.

This role involves developing policies, educating staff, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards to minimize the risk of infection. The Director will work collaboratively with various departments to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement in infection control practices. The Director will manage staff within the IP Department.
Education :
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing Required; or,
- Bachelor's Degree in Public Health Required; or,
- Bachelor's Degree in a Related Field Required; and,
- Master's in Nursing Preferred; or,
- Master's Degree in Public Health Preferred; or,
- Master's In a Related Field Preferred; or,
- Graduate in an Accredited Medical School Preferred; or,
- Graduate from an Accredited Physician Assistant Program Preferred.
