What are the responsibilities and job description for the Courier / Driver - KC Metro - M-F position at Via Courier?
Via Courier is seeking a reliable driver for scheduled routes in the KC Metro area. The routes average 180 miles per day, running Mon-Fr. Route pay averages $149/day plus a fuel surcharge. The schedule varies depending on the day of the week:
MoWeFr: Approximately 6:30am - 9:30am and 12:40pm - 2:15pm.
TuTh: Approximately 6:30am - 11:40am and 12:40pm - 2:15pm and 2:15pm - 6pm
The later route (2:15pm-6pm) on TuTh is not a requirement to apply as it can be treated as a standalone route if needed.
Drivers are independent contractors and provide their own vehicle and smartphone. The route primarily carries interoffice mail with occasional packages. Driver should be able to safely lift up to 40 lbs, although the majority of cargo will be small items, and any size vehicle should work. We have other opportunities for On Call deliveries throughout the day if desired.
