Job Description
This After Hours position involves working Friday, Saturday, and Sunday Dayshift from 8:30A - 8:30P. Responsibilities include effective coordination of patient/caregiver care, conducting nursing assessments, following established plans of care, evaluating patient/caregiver responses, and revising plans as necessary. You will also develop, implement, and evaluate plans of care for patients/caregivers, incorporating therapeutic, preventive, and palliative nursing actions, and addressing patient/caregiver education.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must have a Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing; a Bachelors Degree is preferred. A current, active, and unrestricted compact (multistate) license as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required. Experience in direct care of patients with life-limiting illnesses is essential, with related experience in hospice and palliative care, family medicine, internal medicine, geriatrics, oncology, home health care, or medical surgical fields being advantageous.
