What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Procurement Coordinator position at Viable Engineering Solutions?
Responsibilities:
Create and Maintain schedules:
- Develop and manage procurement schedules for various projects
- Coordinate timelines for material deliveries and project milestones
- Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials
Administrative Support:
- Provide administrative support for project teams
- Maintain and organize project documentation
- Assist with the preparation of project reports and presentations
Material Purchasing:
- Place orders for materials and track their delivery status
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials
- Maintain accurate records of purchases and inventory levels
Vendor Relationships:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with key suppliers and vendors
- Address and resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers
- Conduct regular KPI reviews of suppliers
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members
- Facilitate effective communication between project teams and suppliers
- Provide regular updates on project status to project stakeholders
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure all activities comply with company policies and regulations
- Identify and mitigate risks related to procurement and supply chain
- Conduct regular audits of relevant processes
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain, or other related field desired
- Prior experience in production planning and/or procurement in an industrial or manufacturing environment required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
