Job Responsibilities
- Greet visitors as soon as they enter and help them with the necessary paperwork- field questions and ensure fast and appropriate assistance.
- Collect information from patients, including insurance information, money, and contact information to put into company’s software system.
- Answer the telephone and redirect calls to the appropriate staff member, and respond to voicemails in a timely manner.
- Maintain office inventory, ensuring there are always efficient levels of administrative supplies and other office expendables.
- Assist providers with responding to correspondence, including email, faxes, texts and letters
- Maintain medical record database to ensure patient information is kept up to date, and provide patient information to other provider offices including referring providers and other interested and authorized parties.
- Perform additional administrative functions when needed, which can include providing patients with follow-up information and contacting patients to collect invoice payments.
Job Skills & Qualifications
Required:
- High-school diploma
- Previous experience answering phones and maintaining a patient database.
- Friendly demeanor and positive attitude are a must.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Must be able to travel between offices when required and have a current driver’s license and a reliable mode of transportation.
- Must be able to sit, stand, and kneel without assistant as well as lift up to 20 pounds.
- Maintain consistent and reliable attendance.
- Arrive on time and adhere to the assigned work schedule.
- Exhibit dependability and accountability to ensure smooth team operations.
Pay Rate: Starting pay rate refers to the first 90 days of employment a pay increase will be evaluated at the end of the first 90 days depending on performance.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 38 – 40 per week
