Job Title : Substitute TeacherPay : $24 per hourResponsibilities & Duties : Provide instructional coverage during the absence of the classroom teacher.Ensure teaching practices demonstrate necessary competencies, effective classroom management, positive personal qualities, and adherence to instructional standards.Maintain an environment conducive to learning, ensuring all students have equal access to instructional opportunities.Develop and execute daily lesson plans to address the educational needs and interests of students.Foster a classroom atmosphere that maximizes learning time and supports student engagement.Utilize a variety of teaching techniques and instructional resources to implement the approved curriculum.Support students’ intellectual, physical, social, and emotional growth.Exhibit fair, firm, and consistent behavior management to promote self-discipline among students.Maintain effective communication with students, parents, staff, and the community.Follow school policies and administrative procedures to align with school system goals and objectives.Supervise students in a variety of school settings.Maintain accurate records as required.Monitor the appropriate use and care of classroom materials, equipment, and facilities.Perform other duties as assigned by the school principal.Worksite Location & Hours : Location : Psychiatric Hospital, Westland, MI 48186Hours : 8 : 30 AM - 3 : 00 PMEstimated Length of Assignment : max 832 hoursQualifications : Experience working with children facing behavioral and academic challenges.Experience in special education is preferred, but not required.Knowledge of High School Level Math, English Language Arts, and / or Social Studies
