Essential Functions and Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse caseload of cannabis law litigation matters, including but not limited to regulatory compliance disputes, licensing issues, contractual disputes, and intellectual property litigation.
- Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other legal documents.
- Prepare for and attend court appearances, hearings, mediations, and arbitrations.
- Collaborate with partners, associates, and support staff to develop case strategies and achieve favorable outcomes for clients.
- Provide strategic counsel to clients on potential litigation risks and opportunities.
- Assist with business development initiatives, including client outreach, marketing efforts, and networking events.
- Stay informed about developments in cannabis law and related areas of law, and proactively identify opportunities for professional growth and knowledge sharing within the firm.
