VNE, LLC is looking for a TS/SCI Cleared Software Engineer III
Minimum Qualifications:
Education:
- Master's or Bachelor's degree in quantitative field such as engineering or mathematics (e.g. Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or Information Systems)
Experience:
- Ten (10) years with Masters or 14 years with Bachelor's degree of professional experience with research, design, and development of computer and network software or specialized utility programs which may include database maintenance within an application area.
- Individual shall have experience applying programming concepts in a professional or academic setting and notable experience with applying modern software development methodologies (e.g. agile, DEVOPS/DEVSECOPS) in a professional or academic setting.
- Five (5) years of technical experience in support of ISR/IO.
- Experience may be achieved simultaneously.
- Experience with full software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, and deployment using Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.
- Proficient with utilizing DevOps tools for build, test, patch automation, and CM (Ansible, Chef, Puppet, BMC, or Similar).
- Experience in creating and maintaining documentation, including knowledge base articles, procedure manuals, and technical guides.
- TS/SCI level Clearance required.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Agile Developer certification or Certified Scrum Developer certification. Have or be able to attain within 30 Days of assignment Information Assurance Technical (IAT) II certification.
Job Description:
Software Engineers research, design, and develop computer and network software or specialized utility programs. They may also perform the following duties:

Analyze user needs and develop software solutions, applying principles and techniques of computer science, engineering, and mathematical analysis.

Update or enhance existing software capabilities.

Work with other functional disciplines (e.g., project management, acquisition, logistics, security, etc.) to integrate hardware and software systems, develop specifications, and performance requirements.

Maintain databases within an application area.
Essential Duties of the Job:
- Ability to communicate task requirement information to client in a clear and concise manner.
- Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time, as well as lead and participate in meetings and working groups.
- Requires visual acuity to use a keyboard.
- Must be able to attend work each day, during scheduled hours, unless on travel or approved time off.
- Ability to work on computer for long periods, and communicate with individuals by telephone, email and face-to-face
