Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Wholesale Assistant to join our team in New York. The successful candidate will support the Sales Director (North America) in various tasks, ensuring smooth operations and excellent customer service. This role requires a proactive individual with a strong analytical skill set and at least one year of experience in wholesale, preferably in the luxury fashion sector.


Key Responsibilities:


Sales Analysis and Reporting:

  • Prepare weekly sell-through reports and analyze sales trends to provide actionable insights.
  • Create pre-market recaps and post-market analysis.
  • Monitor and report on shipping and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

Customer Support:

  • Assist the US Sales Director with customer outreach, daily correspondence, and follow-ups.
  • Conduct seasonal analysis to support sales strategies and client presentations.
  • Maintain and update customer databases with relevant information.

Order and Inventory Management:

  • Monitor and process swaps/returns, ensuring compliance with company policies.
  • Support order entry and ensure efficient and accurate processing.
  • Follow up with customers on order status, delivery schedules, and resolve any issues promptly.

Showroom Management:

  • Assist with sample management, including tracking and maintaining sample inventory.
  • Organize showroom setup and breakdown for market weeks and special events.
  • Schedule and coordinate appointments for buyers and key stakeholders.

Store and Client Engagement:

  • Conduct store visits to gather feedback, understand client needs, and provide support.
  • Deliver seasonal product knowledge clinics to educate retail staff on new collections.
  • Provide seasonal assets and marketing materials to key partners to enhance product visibility and sales.

Administrative Support:

  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings for the Sales Director.
  • Prepare and distribute sales and inventory reports to the team.
  • Coordinate travel arrangements and itineraries for market weeks and client meetings.

Event Coordination:

  • Assist in organizing and executing sales events, trunk shows, and trade shows.
  • Liaise with event coordinators and ensure smooth execution of events.
  • Prepare event materials and ensure all necessary supplies are available.


Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1 year of experience within the wholesale industry, preferably in luxury fashion.
  • Exceptional organizational and analytical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible and adaptable to a fast-paced work environment.
  • Knowledge of luxury fashion market trends and key players is a plus.
  • Experience with CRM systems and wholesale platforms is advantageous.
