What are the responsibilities and job description for the Material Handler / Forklift Operator position at Victory Energy Operations, LLC?
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE:
The Material Handler is to load/unload, move and stage material as required to support production: using forklift, overhead cranes and other approved devices.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Qualified to operate all forklifts in company.
- Perform all maintenance start up and safety checks before starting forklift.
- Follow all safety and, Operating and Quality procedures.
- Organization of the material yard.
- Keep all material racks and bins organized and clearly identified.
- Keep all debris picked up and cleaned from roadway.
- Stage all job number in designated location.
- Assist Quality Assurance in control of non-conforming material and identification of non-conforming material.
- Assist production in scheduling and movement of material.
- Must be safety motivated, must always be aware of surroundings when moving material or material loads.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of trucks and other material when required.
- Assist in shipping and receiving, in the identification and documentation of receivable.
OTHER JOB DUTIES:
- Interact and cooperate with all fellow team members to essentially achieve our ultimate goal of providing equipment that meets or exceeds our customers' expectations.
- Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate from time to time.
ESSENTIAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Forklift training and certification.
- One year experience in forklift operation.
- Basic Excel Skills.
- Experience in rigging (proper techniques in attaching/connecting lifting devices for movement).
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Willingness to participate in continuous training and skills development.
- Commitment to promoting and participating in a Safety and Quality focused environment.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
