The Role:
The candidate filling the Business Development role will play a crucial part in business growth by helping to develop the companys brand, driving strategies to increase awareness of services and proprietary products, and effectively communicating with potential clients to engage them in meaningful conversations that build awareness of the Victory Value.
This is a role for a high performer with a reputation for developing lasting relationships in the healthcare industry and the results to back it up. The candidate filling the Business Development role will have a proven record of maintaining high-level contacts that can be included in the sales process immediately and retain a book of business that can be converted into new sales.
This role is ideal for someone with a passion for research, prospecting, cultivating relationships, and tracking customer information, as well as the desire to develop a masterful understanding of services and products within the pharmaceutical marketing space.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Maintain high-level contacts that can be included in the sales process immediately and retain a book of business that can be converted into new sales
- Manage the acquisition and communication of accounts through business relationships
- Translate marketing and sales requirements into action plans and deliverables
- Personify professionalism through proper appearance and demeanor
- Produce results with a spirited, positive, and charismatic attitude
- Express ideas clearly, both verbally and in writing
- Master understanding of company products and services to present to potential clients
- Research, understand, and coherently speak about the pharmaceutical space, including MOAs, medications, and managed care issues
- Establish and maintain working relationships with customers, product managers, and
internal teams - Craft key business and/or marketing messages and solutions
- Lead weekly sales meeting to present status on goals and pipeline
- Send calendar invites for your meetings and host virtually when needed (sharing
your slides) - Put together capabilities decks in PowerPoint for client pitch presentations
- Pitch ideas and concepts to clients
- Take detailed meeting notes and keep track of action items
- Deliver quality and innovation with each resource developed
- Create and deliver new marketing tools/programs that produce a significant impact
- Be a problem solver for client issues and a trusted confidant for client concerns
- Assist in the preparation of proposals and statements of work for customers you
are engaging - Engage with creative team when needed to help develop tactics and strategies for both potential and existing customers
- Work with the president and other directors to drive marketing efforts for the company
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships to grow business

Background/Experience/Skills:
- 5 years of experience in business development, preferably within pharmaceutical marketing and sales
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Experience and/or confidence in speaking with C-suite and D-level executives
- Experience connecting with people and cultivating relationships
- Possesses a proven track record of sales to Fortune 500 companies with over
$5 million sold throughout career - Goal driven with ability to meet targets and deadlines
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment
- Experience influencing, persuading, and negotiating
- Experience working independently and collaboratively
- Has solid knowledge of Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Has solid knowledge of CRM platforms (or quick study)
- Ability to speak about and discuss topics in market access, managed care, and
disease states a plus - Product marketing a plus
