Job Summary:

The Acting Director of MassAbility is responsible for ensuring the development and implementation of Individual Service Plans (ISPs), data collection, and documentation for each individual served through the program. The Acting Director is also responsible for the management of all program staff and for the regular maintenance, troubleshooting and auditing of the VHS/MRC Credible software system for compliance by all case management, and other program staff.

The Acting Director of MassAbility is also responsible for the management of program sites and employee files as specified by MRC, QA and Victory Human Services policies and guidelines. They will assist with the fiscal management of their sites, including assisting with developing, implementing and tracking their sites' budgets. He/she is responsible for developing ongoing support for all the Managers and staff assigned to their sites.


Essential Functions of Position:

Personnel:

• Conducts regular supervision, training, and productive meetings with direct supports.

• Develop and Review performance appraisals and supervise disciplinary action, including recommendations for termination.

• Implement professional development plans for staff.

Fiscal:

• Coordinates Monthly Billing for MRC Programs.

• Participate in the development and implementation of budgets.

• Assist with Monitoring program budgets, including the use of Monthly Expenditure, P & L, and Variance Reports.

Developmental:

• Assist in the development of Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

• Assist in preparing new sites for licensing pre-placement survey

Regulatory & Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with MRC, OSHA, MAP and Quality Assurance and program evaluation.

• Ensure implementation of all corporate and divisional policies and procedures.

• Ensures effective utilization of Credible by all staff.

• Monthly approval of timesheets, progress notes, and other required compliance documents.

• Assuring the timely and accurate approval and submission of payroll timesheets.

• Ensuring that all staff credentials are up to date and in compliance with all regulatory requirements

Facility/Safety:

Monitor client site management, maintenance and adherence to company safety standards.

• Implement and maintain a system of inventory control for all supplies, including PPE.

• Monitor employee injuries and worker’s compensation documentation

• Ensure compliance with exposure control policy/OSHA requirements.

• Provide physical intervention and/or first aid in the event of a behavior or medical emergency.

• Follow on-call and emergency procedures as required

• Assists in providing crisis assessment, prevention and needed intervention.

Clinical and Rehabilitation Skills:

Ensures strong and professional connections with MRC Leadership and Service Coordinators.

• Maintains strong relationships with clients.

• Supervise Individual Service Plan (ISP) development and implementation

• Ensure follow-through on clinical plan development and implementation

• Establish and monitor biweekly meetings to review clinical plans and ISP goals and objectives

• Ensure that baseline and functional analysis is completed for all admissions.

• Monitor human rights, medication, fire safety and disasters systems.

• Ensure that the required staff-to-consumer ratio is maintained at all times.

• Monitor all legal issues.

• Work with Director to coordinate individual intake and discharge.

• Maintain a positive liaison role with families, Service Coordinators and other professional providers

• Oversee all clinical and maintenance aspects of client records.

• Attend all clinical and case conferences.

Other:

Serve on various divisional and corporate task forces and committees

• Promote a positive relationship with neighbors and local community

• Perform other duties as assigned by Director of Services or VP/COO


*This position is a temporary full-time position (3 months).

Requirements

Professional Characteristics:

• A Bachelor's Degree in Human Services or B.A. degree in Psychology, Social Work, Human Services or a related field is a plus. Must have at least five years’ experience in the administration of programs serving adults with long term mental illness and/or developmental disabilities -

• Good health and mental, emotional and physical stamina. Must be able to employ physical intervention as needed

• Ability to identify opportunities and obstacles and develop effective, creative solutions to pursue opportunities

Other Qualifications:

• First Aid and CPR Certifications are required. If not current, applicant must become certified within three months of date of hire to retain employment

• Must possess a valid Massachusetts driver's license and meet the company's driver insurance standards

• A personal vehicle for travel

• An acceptable CORI (criminal record assessment) and Fingerprint background check

• Exceptional Computer skills in MS Word, Excel, email systems, etc.

Salary : $60,000 - $65,000
