What are the responsibilities and job description for the Finance Intern position at Victory Programs?
The Finance Intern at Victory Programs provides basic assistance to the Finance Team while learning the Agency’s general operations and complexities.
Essential Functions:
- Process accounts payable and receivables in the Business Central ERP accounting software.
- Research and resolve vendor discrepancies related to accounts payable.
- Assist with preparing monthly billings that are required for the Agency.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close activity for the Agency.
- Assist with pulling backup for the annual fiscal year-end audit.
- Assist with the processing and reconciling of credit card accounts.
- Assist with reconciling Development’s donations within the general ledger system and Development’s spreadsheets.
- Keep accurate files ready to be audited on a regular schedule or as requested.
- Gather financial information and generate reports for Finance as required.
- Safeguard sensitive data through review and implementation of internal controls.
- Provide support to agency staff on financial and data procedures for third-party billing, accounts payable, and payroll.
Non-Essential Functions:
- Assist with accounting/finance-related tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications:
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel & Word.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize to meet deadlines.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- The position is required to work in-person in Jamaica Plain.
Rate: $21.73/hr
