What are the responsibilities and job description for the Childrens Ministry Director position at Vidalia Church of God?
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Children’s Ministry Director to lead our children's ministry program. This role is responsible for providing spiritual leadership, volunteer oversight, and program coordination for children from 1st through 5th grade. The ideal person will have a heart for ministry, strong leadership skills, and the ability to create a Christ-centered environment where children can grow in their faith. Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee the Sunday morning Children’s Church program (1st–5th grade).
- Provide spiritual leadership and discipleship for children and volunteers.
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers for children’s ministry programs.
- Plan and implement engaging Bible-based curriculum, worship, and activities.
- Organize special events and outreach opportunities (every quarter) for children and families.
- Maintain a safe and welcoming environment for all children.
Requirements:
- A strong, personal relationship with Jesus Christ and a calling to children’s ministry.
- Experience in children’s ministry leadership or related fields.
- Strong organizational, communication, and team-building skills.
- Ability to develop and implement creative, engaging programs for children.
-Background & credit check required for non-credentialed Church of God ministers
-All candidates will be required to have drug screen
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $250.00 - $350.00 per week
Expected hours: No less than 12 per week
