Position Summary
Leads the Center for Learning and Performance, Professional Development Specialists (Nursing), Professional Development Associate and Community Training Center for achieving professional development outcomes. Inspire new levels of creativity and innovation within the organization to positively impact patient outcomes.
Will add director responsibilities that supervise teams / managers.
Serves as the Primary Nurse Planner for continuing nursing education with the goal of advancing the mission of ECU Health.
Responsibilities
- Directs the assessment, implementation, oversight and expansion of nursing professional development within a virtual learning modality to achieve onboarding management, competency and capacity building, continuing professional development, collaborative partnerships, research, evidence based practice and quality improvement metrics across ECU Health Medical Center.
- Collaborates with Nursing Leadership, Executives and Administrators to assess, identify and prioritize to meet the professional development competencies and capacities of the organization through resource stewardship.
- Leads Approved Provider Unit for ECU Health as Primary Nurse Planner for nursing continuing professional development and accreditation oversight.
- Leads change management at the clinical micro and mesosystem level with integrity and establish and maintain a trusting, inclusive, and healthy work environment.
- Leads organizational and system development / planning activities and on designated committees and councils.
- Provides oversight for human, financial and material resources based on identified needs and goals and in alignment with organizational strategic plan and professional standards of practice to ensure equity and inclusion.
Minimum Requirements
MSN in Nursing Education is required- or higher.
Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of North Carolina.
Professional Nursing Development Certification required.
3 years to 5 years experience in clinical practice with evidence of clinical knowledge, leadership, and teaching is required.
