This is a 100% remote role for candidates based in the Washington D.C. Metro Area (D.C., Maryland, Virginia). Candidates can be located within a 2-hour commute from Alexandria, Virginia.
About the Role:
Viderity is seeking a Program Coordinator to support a major research institution's Computer and Network Systems (CNS) unit. This position will provide technical, analytical, and program management support, including data retrieval, scientific writing, proposal management, and research review processes. The role requires working independently with minimal supervision while ensuring close coordination with CNS leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in preparing solicitations, management plans, and funding strategies.
- Develop communication materials and presentations for program-related events.
- Coordinate workshops, panels, and interagency meetings.
- Retrieve and analyze data to assist with funding decisions.
- Provide logistical support for research review panels and site visits.
- Manage proposal reviews, track funding, and evaluate panelist diversity.
- Create and edit scientific reports, newsletters, and briefing documents.
- Develop content for principal investigator meetings and outreach efforts.
- Compile research highlights from funded projects.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related fields.
- Experience in managing research projects, preferably in academia or similar settings.
- Strong analytical skills for data handling and research review.
- Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, OneNote).
- Experience with tools like Outlook, Zoom, OneDrive, Microsoft Teams, Box, Slack, and SharePoint.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly in scientific contexts.
- Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with research funding, proposal review processes, and program management in a similar environment.
- Experience with project planning, data visualization, and automation tools.
- Knowledge of research proposal submission and funding cycle management.
Salary range: Salary Range: $80,000-105,000
