Key Responsibilities
- Respond urgently to plant issues and emergencies, acting as the technical expert during unplanned events and drive implementation of effective corrective and preventative actions.
- Troubleshoot equipment and tooling issues; providing technical support to maintenance, tool room and production, as requested
- Recommend, specify and implement preventive maintenance procedures
- Plan, coordinate and implement repairs, modifications and improvements to equipment and tooling
- Ensure equipment is properly released to production after preventative maintenance or repairs
- Lead Kaizen events resulting in higher line output and greater efficiency
- Utilize maintenance and tooling management system, purchase order system and
- various other planning systems.
- Innovate and implement cost reduction, quality, safety, and ergonomic improvement ideas for the operations team.
- Model and promote adherence to OSHA regulations and Carrier environmental, health and safety policies and initiatives
- Fostering a positive working relationship with union representatives by adhering to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement
