About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Chief Financial Officer to lead our financial planning and management strategies. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of designing, implementing, and managing large-scale organizational change.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive financial plans and strategies aligned with the organization's mission and goals.
- Manage and oversee all aspects of finance, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Supervise and manage a team of financial professionals, providing guidance and support as needed.
- Collaborate with senior administrative teams and non-profit Boards to ensure alignment and effective decision-making.
- Analyze complex financial data and provide strategic recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or CPA preferred.
- 10-15 years of senior-level experience in creating and executing financial planning and management strategies.
- Experience in an independent school preferred, but not required.
- Proven record of accomplishment in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale organizational change.
- Superb communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to think strategically and creatively.
- Demonstrated ability to understand complex subjects and communicate them effectively to various audiences.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Blackbaud experience.
- Knowledge of business and not-for-profit accounting policies, procedures, and software programs.
