Job Summary
Vighter Medical Group is seeking a skilled Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our team in providing high-quality healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP). As a CNA, you will work under the medical direction of our National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors, collaborating with CBP's Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO) to deliver healthcare services in accordance with approved medical protocols and federal regulations.
About the Role
- Conduct basic screening assessments and provide healthcare services to detainees of all ages, including infants, children, adults, and pregnant females.
- Work in a detention setting, which may include field settings with minimal facilities, soft-sided facilities, or secure detention facilities.
- Assist patients with feeding, hygiene, ambulation, and other activities of daily living as needed.
- Collect vital signs, interview patients, and complete necessary charting requirements.
- Perform minor care, treatments, or procedures under the guidance of Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), Physicians, or EMTs/Paramedics.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to standard operating procedures and protocols.
Requirements
- One year of experience in a clinical setting, with a valid certification as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA).
- Licensure/certification to practice healthcare in the state where you will work, with no disciplinary actions taken against your license.
- BLS/CPR certification from an approved organization.
- Able to walk, stand, bend, and/or sit for more than 8 hours per day, perform BLS/CPR if necessary, and assist patients into/out of wheelchairs.
- Willing to work day, night, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed, in indoor and outdoor environments.
- Pass a criminal background investigation and undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
