Summary:
The Finance Specialist is responsible for payroll, expense report processing, monthly reconciliations, accounts payable, and invoicing. Performs accounting clerical or bookkeeping tasks to support accounts payable, receivable, payroll, timekeeping, auditing and/or other accounting related functions. Posts journal entries, processes payments or deposits, and varies accuracy of data.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
- Performs clerical accounting such as posting, bank accounts, statistical reports, resolving cash accounting discrepancies.
- Compiles and/or coordinates collection of data for inclusion in a variety of regular reports.
- Reviews and/or processes financial documents such as invoices, vouchers, receipts, requisitions and reports, ensuring accuracy of mathematical computations and completeness; resolves discrepancies.
- Monitors departmental accounts by gathering statistical data, maintaining reports and records, identifying variances, errors and discrepancies.
- Performs analysis of sales transactions and bank deposits by reviewing entries, verifying amounts, compiling and comparing balances.
- Maintains manual and automated recordkeeping systems by tracking, verifying and updating records, files and reports. Inputs, monitors, and corrects data in automated systems; generate reports.
- Match invoices with purchase invoices, requisitions, packing slips, expense reports and receiving reports to verify the merchandise has been received and invoiced at the correct price.
- Prepare invoices for data entry by determining general ledger allocation and assigning account numbers and amount distribution.
- Assist with payroll benefit transactions.
- Communicate with vendors and other personnel to resolve invoicing problems.
- Ensure Bank Statements are reconciled, processed and posted in Deltek monthly for all company credit cards.
- Process Accounts Payable ACH payment transactions prior to 15thand EOM
- Monitor Deltek Costpoint accounts payable system and report any problems or irregularities to the Accounting Supervisor.
- Monitor and update Paycom with any changes, deletions or additions to benefits prior to the payroll deadline on a monthly basis.
- Prepare the 401K report after every payroll in Paycom and excel to ensure the reports are accurate and ready to be submitted on schedule.
- Exhibits the highest level of customer service towards residents, staff and vendors.
- Consistently demonstrates the ability to respond to changing situations in a flexible manner in order to meet current needs, such as reprioritizing work as necessary.

Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Excellent analytical, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of Deltek accounting systems and worksheet programs (Excel) necessary.
- Professionalism, dependability, integrity and trustworthiness combined with a cooperative attitude.

Physical Requirements:
