Summary:

Vighter LLC is seeking a skilled and experienced IT Program Manager to lead our Information Technology (IT) department. The IT Program Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of Vighter’s  IT infrastructure, systems, and operations. This role requires strong technical expertise, strategic planning abilities, and effective leadership skills to support the needs of Vighter and ensure the smooth functioning of our IT environment.

Principle Accountabilities:

  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Vighter's IT infrastructure, including network systems, servers, storage, and hardware.
  • Ensure the reliability, security, and scalability of IT infrastructure components to meet the evolving needs of the organization.
  • Establish and enforce security policies, procedures, and protocols to protect sensitive information and mitigate cyber threats. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and industry certifications.
  • Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks or issues, and implement solutions to optimize performance and efficiency. Implement and maintain robust cybersecurity measures, including firewalls, antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to resolve complex technical issues, escalate critical incidents and minimize downtime.
  • Manage a team of system administrators and technical support staff responsible for day-to-day IT operations, including user support, system maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and enforce IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance, security, and operational efficiency. Develop and implement IT strategies, initiatives and roadmaps aligned with the organization's goals and objectives.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies, trends, and industry best practices to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement. Evaluate vendor products and services, conduct vendor assessments, and make recommendations for vendor selection and procurement.
  • Monitor vendor performance, resolve disputes and ensure adherence to contractual obligations.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership and stakeholders to define IT priorities, allocate resources, and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage relationships with IT vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating contracts, agreements, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have exceptional customer service skills.
  • Employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the job requirements, including ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in IT management, with a proven track record of leading successful IT initiatives and teams. Strong technical expertise in IT infrastructure, systems administration, network management, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams, foster collaboration, and drive results.
  • Cloud and Cybersecurity certifications are preferred.
  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical team members.

Duty Hours / On-call Requirements:

  • Generally speaking, the corporate office is open 8 a.m.-5 p.m.; however, during times of rapid mobilization, hours may be extended to include nights and weekends.
  • We try our best to accommodate your schedule, so please inform Vighter of your desired schedule and/or geographic limitations in advance.

Work Environment:

  • Location: Vighter Corporate HQs, San Antonio, TX
  • Supportive team of healthcare professionals and administrative staff.

Travel:

  • As required to satisfy the contractual obligations. Generally, travel is limited to commute from residence to the worksite. Commute is non-compensatory. All official travel is government-funded.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to sit for more than 8 hours per day.
  • Must be willing to work overtime if necessary.
  • Must be able, with advance notice to float to surgical sites within 15 miles.
  • Must be able to use an elevator or walk up and down stairs.
  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and carry up to 10 feet.
  • Must be able to routinely grasp or handle objects, use finger dexterity, bend elbows/knees and reach above and below shoulders.
  • Must be able to read and interpret handwritten and typewritten print.
  • Must be able to communicate by voice and detect sound by ear.
  • Must be able to perform duties in an indoor or outdoor environment
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background investigation
  • Must undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS).
  • Positions require applicants to be US Citizens, 21 years or older. 
  • Must complete criminal background check, and Child Abuse and Neglect (CAN) background check.
