Job Overview
Vighter is seeking a Physician Assistant to provide medical services in various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in direct patient care and be licensed/certified as a Physician Assistant (PA).
The role involves providing healthcare services under the medical direction of the National Medical Director and Physician Supervisors. This includes conducting basic screening assessments, delivering healthcare services to individuals detained by Customs and Border Protection (CBP), and collaborating with CBP's Office of the Chief Medical Officer (OCMO).
Key responsibilities include:
- Providing direct patient care within scope of practice to persons in custody
- Consulting with physicians for complex cases
- Performing history and physical assessments, behavioral health care, minor outpatient procedures, patient education, and referring beyond scope to local facilities
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Have a minimum of one year of experience in direct patient care and be licensed/certified as a Physician Assistant (PA)
- Be able to walk, stand, bend, and/or sit for more than 8 hours per day
- Pass a criminal background investigation and undergo Urine Drug Screening (UDS)
