ROLE OVERVIEW
As part of our Mississippi Housekeeping team your job is to repair crew uniforms, guests’ clothing and all Hotel Department linen in accordance with Viking’s STAR Service Standards. You will report to the Laundry Lead.

Onboard our ship
- Most common rotation schedule is 10-12 weeks on board, 3 weeks off. Main Port of Call is New Orleans, LA
- Lodging (shared cabin with 1 other crewmember), meals, Wi-Fi, uniforms, and laundry are free of charge for all crew members

WHAT YOU WILL DO ON BOARD
- Repair linen, curtains, drapes, and guests' clothing
- Make alterations to guests’ clothing and company-issued uniforms for crew members
- Together with the Hotel Storekeeper, manage uniform store, and assist with uniform requisitions, inventory and distribution
- Ensure availability of sufficient sewing supplies and minimize equipment loss/damage
- Assist with linen inventories for Hotel department, as well as cleaning supplies
ABOUT YOU
- Must have excellent skills in tailoring operations and be familiar with all the functions and operations of the Hotel and Linen Departments; shipboard experience is an advantage
- Basic knowledge of storeroom operations and storing procedures is required
- Guest-focused, service-oriented, positive personality, professional appearance and impeccable hygiene standards
- Excellent knowledge of all public health policies
MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS & AT WILL EMPLOYMENT:
- U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident (green card) to work onboard the ship, as required by federal regulations
- Ability to satisfactorily pass a pre-employment drug test. This includes testing for marijuana and other controlled substances. We are a Drug-Free and Alcohol-Free workplace
