Automation Specialist
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify opportunities for automation within the facility and develop solutions to streamline operations, reduce manual labor, and improve data accuracy.
- Design, develop, and implement a standardized barcode system to automate tracking and management of materials, inventory, and workflow processes.
- Work with the Automation department to ensure integration of the barcode system with existing software and hardware systems.
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues with automation equipment and systems to minimize downtime.
- Design and implement electrical systems and controls required for automation projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.
- Lead and manage automation projects from conception through implementation, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and coordination with cross-functional teams.
- Provide training to staff on new automation systems and offer ongoing technical support to ensure smooth operation.
- Collect and analyze data from automated systems to identify trends, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Must be self-motivated and able to find issues and initiate projects to remedy.
- Must be able to work well in a team atmosphere as well as on your own.
- Train personnel in proper use of all equipment.
- Must be able to work flexible schedule – early morning or late evening hours may be required based on job tasks.
