2nd Shift Saw & Shear Technician
Key Responsibilities:
- Set-up, operation, and quality control of production saw and shear machinery.
- Perform regular and preventative maintenance on saw and shear equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment issues as needed to maintain efficient production processes.
- Receive, inspect, catalog, and transport bundled engineered bar and cut billets used in the forging process.
- Maintain housekeeping standards within the Saw/Shear department.
- Review work orders to determine daily material requirements.
- Complete all necessary production documentation and review set-up sheets for detailed instructions.
- Periodically remove and weigh samples to verify billet weight accuracy.
- Operate lift truck to manage billet inventory and ensure a smooth workflow.
- Collaborate with the maintenance department to schedule and perform more extensive repairs or upgrades.
- Operate overhead cranes to transport engineered bars and align equipment
