The Opportunity
Join VIKTech and Invent Your Future by supporting critical government programs as a Network/SATCOM Technician. You’ll provide technical expertise to ensure the seamless operation, maintenance, and sustainment of Navy Expeditionary Combatant Command (NECC) Expeditionary Deployed Node (EDN) Family of Systems (FoS).
Responsibilities
As a Network/SATCOM Technician, you will:
- Provide Life Cycle Sustainment and Maintenance (LCSM): Offer 24/7 support for NECC EDN systems through telephone, email, and on-site assistance to maintain deployable status.
- Deliver Technical Support: Troubleshoot and maintain NECC EDN equipment and materials.
- Support CONUS and OCONUS Operations: Provide both on-site and remote support for EDN terminals across domestic and international locations.
- Perform Tier III Repairs: Conduct high-level repairs beyond the technical expertise of the organization’s operational teams.
- Install, Operate, and Maintain Systems: Conduct training and troubleshooting for personnel.
- Conduct On-the-Job Training and System Upgrades: Deliver CERPs and system upgrades as needed.
- Manage Work Orders and Equipment Logistics: Generate and maintain work orders while overseeing the shipping/return of equipment using the Government Database.
- Perform Bench Testing: Test system components to identify status before deployment and storage.
- Support Research and Development: Assist in R&D efforts and the modification of new and existing systems.
- Act as Primary Technician: Manage satellite deployable nodes within the EDN family of systems.
- Provide Regular Customer Deliverables: Submit weekly reports and additional deliverables as required.
Qualifications
Required:
- Active Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret w/SCI Clearance.
- Technical Training in DoD C5ISR systems, including satellite communications and networking equipment.
- 5 Years of Hands-On Experience with Joint Warfighter C4ISR systems, covering at least three (3) of the following areas:
- Leadership Experience in C5ISR systems development, logistics support, or test & evaluation.
- Cisco Router and Switch Configuration: Specialized experience in designing, developing, testing, analyzing, operating, or maintaining C4ISR systems with deployable nodes.
- Knowledge of Security Systems: Familiarity with HAIPE encryption devices, BGAN and INMARSAT networks, and LAN/WAN.
Desired:
- Security Certification (preferred).
