The Role

The Director of Sales and Marketing will plan, develop, and implement innovative and effective campaigns driving a multi-million-dollar revenue channel for the Villa Roma Resort operations. Reporting directly to the Villa Roma Resort General Manager and Chairman, this is a highly visible, cross-functional position that will play a pivotal role in shaping the resorts brand identity, and revenue growth. The role demands an entrepreneurial, commercially disciplined and visionary leader, with an extensive network, a deep understanding of the luxury hospitality market and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.


In this dynamic role you will be responsible for developing a comprehensive approach that not only promotes our accommodations and amenities but also highlights our conference facilities, making Villa Roma the preferred choice for corporate events, retreats, and unforgettable getaways. The role is crucial in driving revenue growth, enhancing market presence, and cultivating relationships with high value clients. Your strategic insights and creative initiatives will enhance our market presence and ensure that Villa Roma remains synonymous with unparalleled luxury and exceptional service.


Sales Responsibilities

• Collaborate with business ownership to create strategic sales plans, grow existing product offerings and introduce new product opportunities to meet or exceed annual sales targets.

• Develop and execute annual sales strategy as approved by the GM and Chairman.

• Taking full responsibility for the success of Sales function, the Director must demonstrate strength in working alongside a range of backgrounds, skills, and professionals.

• Regularly meet and collaborate with Leadership and Sales team to set quarterly and annual sales goals, determining changes to sales tactics or offerings initiating accordingly.

• Develop and lead internal teams to create compelling sales tools, decks and proposals, developing a narrative and brand alignment for the Villa Roma Resort outlets.

• The capacity to develop, lead and craft sales pitches for individual private event clients through to Fortune 500 companies.

• Manage the Sales pipeline develop targeted prospect lists of potential partners, find appropriate contacts for each company, and work to qualify and convert leads from industry professionals to industry influencers.

• Aggressive research of B2C and B2B hospitality industry trends relevant to Sales.

• Track prospects and reliably manage the sales process: update contacts, track correspondence, provide regular pipeline updates to accurately capture all sales and event activity, etc.

• Working with F B, Event Production and other property level teams to establish profitable and competitive event offerings in aim to excel guest experience.

• Set team standards for working with B2B and B2C clients.

• Develop SOPs, team standardized work process, clear data collection and reporting.


Marketing Responsibilities

• Develop, own, manage and execute annual Marketing strategy as approved by the General Manager and Chairman.

• The marketing scope will span content marketing, brand and community marketing, media & influencer partnerships, digital and paid marketing, analytics reporting, etc.

• Develop and coordinate integrated marketing and communication campaigns across web, social, email, and other channels; work with brand marketing team for ongoing updates across all channels.

• Drive marketing campaigns and other growth initiatives from start to finish, leading strategy, strategic messaging, and creative campaign ideation, all the way through to execution and analysis.

• Measure the effectiveness of each campaign and recommend strategies for refining and improving outcomes.

• Manage paid and organic media strategies; report on predefined objectives and advise on any prospective changes to respective marketing strategies & tactics.

• Execute, track & report on thoughtful tests to continuously improve the performance of core channels.

• Generate regular reports on CPL, CAC, and CLV for each campaign to optimize strategies and maximize ROI.

• Responsible for managing, organizing, and presenting data in a clear, concise, and actionable format to the larger business accounting for a variety of cross-functional partners and levels of comfort with marketing campaigns

• Be the thought-leader for our online marketing channels, staying up-to-date on the latest trends, in-the-know on automation, bidding algorithms, optimization tactics, etc.


Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality Management or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

• 8 years of integrated Sales & Marketing experience ideally focused on hospitality, hotels, resorts and or lifestyle industries.

• Proven history of achieving (or exceeding) revenue targets.

• This role requires a strong salesperson with an extensive network and a collaborative personality who recognizes the importance of a team effort.

• Familiarity with a variety of platforms; Salesforce, Hubspot, WordPress, Sprout Social, Tripleseat, Keynote etc.

• Strong knowledge in standard and alternative paid media platforms.

• Proven management skills leading and developing a sales team against annual revenue and performance targets.


Salary Range: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 annually based on experience.

Commission Structure: In addition to the base salary we offer a 3% Sales Commission on Events and Bookings generated. This commission structure is designed to reward your efforts in driving sales and enhancing the overall revenue of the hotel/resort. As you successfully secure events and bookings, your commission will directly reflect your contributions, providing an incentive to exceed sales targets and maximize profitability.

Some of the factors we consider may include: qualifications of individual applicants against the position and business needs, years of relevant experience in role or industry, specific or unique skills, certifications or professional accreditations specific to the role, and the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will perform the role. The anticipated range for compensation shared here does not include any other components or benefits that may available.

Salary : $95,000 - $105,000
