Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Assisted Living Administrator to oversee the daily operations of our assisted living facility. This role involves ensuring the highest quality of care for residents, managing staff, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. The Assisted Living Administrator will play a crucial role in creating a supportive and nurturing environment for our residents, particularly those with dementia or other memory-related conditions.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the daily operations of the assisted living facility, ensuring compliance with state regulations and company policies.
- Manage staff recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to maintain a high standard of care.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for residents, focusing on their unique needs and preferences.
- Ensure proper medication administration and management within the facility.
- Foster positive relationships with residents, families, and staff to promote a welcoming community atmosphere.
- Monitor financial performance and manage budgets effectively to ensure sustainability.
- Coordinate activities and programs that enhance the quality of life for residents, including memory care initiatives.
- Conduct regular assessments of resident needs and adjust care plans as necessary.
- Maintain open communication with healthcare professionals regarding resident health status and changes in care requirements.
Experience
- Proven experience in senior care management or as an Assisted Living Administrator is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of dementia care, long-term care practices, and home care services.
- Familiarity with financial management principles relevant to assisted living facilities.
- Previous experience in medication administration is highly desirable.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team effectively.
- Strong communication skills to interact positively with residents, families, staff, and external partners.
- A nursing background or relevant certification in senior care management is advantageous.
