Description
The marketing intern will assist in various general marketing responsibilities for our growing Consumer Products Division. These projects will be designed to gain targeted marketing insight and determine strategy and decisions on product portfolio, competitive threats, customer messaging, and value positioning. This position will be part of a team that leads the marketing and business efforts to bring products and accessories that meet market needs and satisfy a growing customer base. You will work with other team members and should be comfortable taking direction, but also expect to take the initiative to brainstorm and ideate.
Responsibilities:
Market Research & Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify trends, customer preferences, and competitive insights.
- Analyze website traffic, social media engagement, and other marketing metrics to generate reports and actionable insights.
- Support the team in creating customer personas and segmentation strategies.
- Assist in using data to formulate long and short-term product strategies.
Market Strategy Execution:
- Assist in planning and executing marketing campaigns across different channels (email, social media, paid advertising, etc.).
- Help coordinate promotional events, product launches, and webinars.
- Track campaign performance and help with post-campaign analysis.
- Assist in creating email marketing content, including newsletters and promotional campaigns.
- Help with the segmentation and management of email lists.
- Track and report on email campaign performance (open rates, click-through rates, etc.).
Administrative Support:
- Assist in managing and organizing marketing materials, databases, and other resources.
- Help with preparing presentations for internal and client meetings.
- Support other administrative tasks as needed within the marketing team.
Materials and Equipment Utilized:
- Computers, projectors, printers, etc.
Working Environment:
- 90% - Office Environment
- 10% - Manufacturing environment internal to consumer products and our suppliers/vendors
Requirements
Education and Training:
- Junior or Senior in an accredited marketing program.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Familiarity with social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.).
- Basic knowledge of marketing principles and tools (Google Analytics, email marketing platforms, etc.).
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and/or Google Workspace.
- Creative thinker with strong attention to detail.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Positive attitude and proactive approach to problem-solving.
Travel Requirements:
- Up to 25% of the time

- Be able to lift 10-25 lbs. for short periods
