Description
The Supply Chain Intern role supports global procurement and supply chain functions. This role is responsible for purchase order management activity supporting business or segment operations at the tactical and strategic levels. The position has a direct interface and liaison between suppliers and the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Assist and be responsible for setting up new suppliers and maintaining existing suppliers within the ERP system.
- Assist with purchase order acknowledgments, managing past due orders, and addressing critical shortages.
- Support purchasing in key supply chain functions such as requests for quotes (RFQs), supplier discovery, and spend analysis.
- Prepare weekly reports for department leads to assist in decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to process internal purchasing requests for non-inventory items.
- Assist purchasing team with critical ERP system maintenance (pricing, lead time, supplier, safety stock, MOQ, etc.).
- Assist with the implementation of a new ERP system in the summer of 2025.
- Work alongside the inventory team on projects as assigned (inventory accuracy, continuous improvement, workplace organization).
- Other duties as assigned.

Working Environment:
- 20% Manufacturing: clean, low to moderate noise, safety glasses required and other personal protective equipment (PPE) where applicable.

Requirements
Education/Training:
- Student working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management or related field.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Computer skills - MS Office, Experience with Syteline 8.02 or other ERP systems is preferred
- Flexible with the ability to multitask as needed
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Self-directed and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
Travel Requirements:
- 5% - Local Suppliers
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to lift at least 25 lbs and up to 50 lbs for short periods
