Job Overview: We are a fast-paced, busy Home Health Agency seeking an experienced Staffing/Scheduling Coordinator with a strong background in scheduling within the Home Health industry. The ideal candidate must have prior Home Health Staffing/Scheduling experience and a comprehensive understanding of Medicare weeks, Episode management, and clinical visit requirements. This role requires excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills, as well as the ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities:
- Staffing and Scheduling: Assign and schedule clinicians to patients, ensuring the appropriate care for patient needs and compliance with Medicare requirements (SOC, ROC, Recert, Discharge, etc.).
- Coordination: Receive and process home care referrals, ensuring timely order fulfillment and accurate file management.
- Communication: Make service calls to referral sources, offering available personnel and gathering client needs information. Ensure all physician orders are tracked and processed in a timely manner.
- Compliance: Maintain compliance with licensure and credentialing requirements for clinicians. Ensure all case conferences, re-certifications, and supervisory visits are tracked and completed.
- Data Management: Perform data entry, including managing patient schedules and completing medical record scanning, filing, and documentation.
- Issue Resolution: Handle complaint and service failure reporting, investigate issues, and ensure ongoing resolution.
- Administrative Support: Answer phone calls, direct inquiries, and provide customer service support as needed.
Requirements:
- Scheduling Experience: A strong background in home health scheduling with an understanding of frequencies, Medicare weeks, and visit requirements.
- Prior Home Health Experience: Previous experience in a home health setting is a must, along with knowledge of SOC, ROC, Recert, Discharge, and other clinical visit types.
- EMR Experience: Proficiency in using Kinnser and other EMR portals for documentation and scheduling.
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to handle multiple calls and respond to inquiries professionally.
- Independence: Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, take initiative, and manage time effectively to meet deadlines.
- Positive Attitude: Maintain a professional and positive attitude when interacting with patients, families, and staff members.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in home health staffing and scheduling
- Familiarity with Medicare regulations and clinical visit management
- Proficient in using EMR systems (Kinnser preferred)
