**Hiring Physical Therapists (PTAs) - PRN to FT - for Marion, Sumter, and Lake Counties**
We are looking for a committed Physical Therapists Assistants (PTAs) to act as the patient’s partner throughout the trip of restoring motion and ensuring that the client will function at their personal best. You will maximize the quality of life and movement potential within the spheres of promotion, prevention, diagnosis, treatment or intervention, and rehabilitation.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
- Identify and meet patients’ goals and needs
- Offer cost-effective treatments that help improve clients’ motion and mobility
- Reduce the need for medications and provide alternatives to surgery
- Execute fitness- and wellness-oriented programs tailored to patients’ specific needs
- Provide quality, personalized and evidence-based care and proven interventions
- Motivate patients during treatment in order to help them function optimally
- Promote clients’ healthy lifestyle by improving strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination
- Consult and practice with other health professionals and disciplines
- Document patient care services
- Follows established assessments and Plan of Care and or Treatment
- Reviews patient history and interprets physician referral
- Evaluates patient's status and physical therapy problems and abilities using both objective and subjective techniques, according to department policy and procedures
- Maintains active and supportive communication with patients and others concerned regarding progress, problems, home programs, and other issues related to the therapeutic process.
- Prepares patient for discharge, through instruction of patient and family (caregivers) and written home programs as necessary. Recommends additional treatment as needed

Skills:
- Proven work experience as a physical therapist assistant
- Intensive education and clinical expertise

- Current knowledge of treatment practices

- Valid license to practice physical therapy
- Licensed in the state of Florida

- Exhibits excellent service to patients, visitors, physicians, and co-workers

Pay: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour
