The Village of Ashwaubenon is accepting applications for a Public Works Summer/Seasonal Maintenance Worker.
Essential Functions:
Responsible for the refuse pick up, brush chipping, pothole patching, string trimming, and cutting grass in green spaces, right-of-ways, and other municipal facilities. Other duties as assigned under the direction of the Street Operations Supervisor.
Position Hourly Pay Range (2025): $18.58 - $19.83/hr
Qualified applicants should possess the following:
- Knowledge and skill of string trimming and cutting grass.
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and co-workers courteously and helpfully.
- Knowledge, skill, and ability to operate vehicles, lawnmowers, small tractors, string trimmers, and various hand tools.
- Ability to adhere to the Village's safe work practices as outlined in the Employee Safety Manual.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
Minimum Experience, Education, and Training:
- Must be 17 years of age (or a high-school graduate).
- Possess a valid Wisconsin Driver's license with a good driving record.
Work Schedule:
- Up to 40 hours per week.
- Monday through Thursday, 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Fridays 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. (Memorial Day to Labor Day), or
- Monday through Thursday, 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Fridays 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 a.m.
