What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Youth Tennis Instructor position at Village of DeForest?
The Youth Tennis Instructor is expected to assist the Tennis Coordinator, lead and supervise youth tennis lessons and activities through the Village of DeForest Recreation & Community Enrichment Department. This employee must possess excellent verbal communication, public relations, and tennis instruction skills. This employee should provide a warm and inviting atmosphere for those individuals attending the program.
Qualifications
- Must have knowledge of tennis.
- Experience instructing youth tennis is preferred.
- CPR, first aid, and AED certification is required or the ability to obtain these within six months of hire.
- Must clear a background check.
Special Requirements
- The hours Monday - Thursday are 8:30am – 12:45pm.
- Lessons start the second week of June and run for 4 weeks giving 8 classes for each session.
- Team tennis schedule is Monday & Wednesdays 12:30 – 1:45pm and Fridays 10am – 12pm.
- Village of DeForest Application must be completed before interviewing.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 per hour
