Description

To assist in the duties of maintaining and cleaning of the wastewater collection system and lift stations. Performs basic upkeep of the Village of Fox Crossing Utility buildings and facilities. Term of employment is typically May through August, additional hours may be available on an as needed basis. Work is performed under the direction of the Utility Superintendent. Examples of Duties

The following duties are normal for this position. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Safely operates equipment and vehicles, as assigned. Safety training and safety equipment will be provided.
• Assists full-time workers within the sewer utility; jetting sewers, working in the collection system, helping maintain lift stations, shop/building maintenance and lawn care.
• Performs minor adjustments and troubleshooting on equipment.
• Operates trucks and equipment, as needed.
  
  

Minimum Job Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• High school diploma and entering or full-time college student.
• Position requires a valid driver’s license and good driving record.
• Must be a team player and work well with others.
• Some experience in driving a pickup truck and trailer, lawn and garden equipment desired.
• Basic First Aid training desired.
