Title: Clerk-Treasurer/Administrator
Salary: $29,000 - $31,000 per year
Employment Type: Part-time

Residency Requirement: Candidates must have been legal residents of Tompkins County or an adjoining county for at least one month prior to applying and maintain residency.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fiscal and operating functions of the Village.
- Supervise day-to-day operations, office management, and clerical staff.
- Handle problem resolution, program planning, budget formulation, fiscal management, and record-keeping.
- Perform duties as outlined in sections 4-402 (Village Clerk) and 4-408 (Village Treasurer) of Village Law.
- Ensure compliance with state laws and board policies.
- Work under the general supervision of the Mayor.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Public or Business Administration or a related field and five years of office management experience in local government; OR
- Associate's degree in Public or Business Administration or a related field and seven years of office management experience in local government; OR
- High school diploma and ten years of office management experience in local government; OR
- Any combination of training and experience equal to or greater than the above.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Thorough knowledge of accounting procedures and municipal laws.
- Ability to handle administrative details independently.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to plan, assign, and review the work of others.
- Good judgment and resourcefulness in solving administrative problems.
