About the Position
We are seeking an Assistant to the Village Manager who will serve as the executive assistant to the Village Manager by aiding in the optimization of time, energy, and focus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support and optimize the Village Manager's time, energy and focus to assist in achieving the Village's strategic vision.
- Manage regional intergovernmental relationships and state and federal legislative agendas to support Village goals and objectives.
- Assist in implementing and evaluating the Village's resident experience and service program to provide impeccable and timely customer service to all residents.
- Conduct research, analysis and special projects directly supporting the Village Manager's strategic vision and objectives.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in public administration, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree in a related field is desirable.
- Five years of increasingly responsible technical, administrative and analytical experience within a local government or similar environment including two years of supervisory experience.
- Must be fluent in the English language. Ability to communicate in Spanish is a plus.
