Job Summary
Assist the Engineering & Development Staff with clerical support to include answering phones, general typing, permit issuing, filing and other clerical duties as directed.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Ability to scan and file paperwork into electronic document management system
- Ability to respond to citizen requests for services related to the Engineering & Development Department operations and other municipal departments
- Ability to work independently and with other staff members
- Knowledge of computer programs and applications, which may include Microsoft Office and Internet applications
- Oral communication and interpersonal skills
Qualifications
Supplemental Information
Position requires extreme accuracy and prolonged sitting in the performance of daily duties and frequent repetitive keyboarding motion for preparing reports and other documents. The position also requires walking and some standing and lifting of boxes. Must be able to travel occasionally as needed.
The equipment required to be used for this position includes a phone system, desktop computer, copy machine, fax machine, and scanner.
