Job Summary
This job offers the opportunity to be part of the Department of Public Works team that maintains the parks, streets and set-up for special events.
Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Various assignments throughout the Village's Streets & Parks Department including :
- General park maintenance
- Restroom cleaning
- Pavement marking
- Catch basin cleaning
- Building and grounds maintenance
- Barricade set-up and removal
- Parts organization
- Mowing, trimming and brush cutting
- Flower bed maintenance
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, supervisors, and the public.
- Must be reliable and able to work independently.
- Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS :
Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, push / pull, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Position requires the ability to work outside and includes exposure to changing weather conditions.
