Part-Time Customer Service Representative/Cashier
The Village of Palatine is seeking qualified applicants for the Part-Time position of Customer Service Representative/Cashier within the Finance Department.
This front-line customer service position performs a variety of duties related to cash receipting; assists customers and residents by providing and maintaining information, records, and computer files; and supports and helps co-workers in sustaining a team environment. Has extensive contact with customers.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate must possess outstanding customer service skills; accurate cash handling; a strong work ethic; a positive people-friendly attitude; the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; basic computer knowledge; and the ability to work well in a team environment.
High School diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.) and six months or more of previous customer service experience are required.
Conversational Spanish skills preferred, but not required.
Salary: starting at $26.67 per hour.
Shifts Available:
AM Shift: 8:00 am - 1:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
PM Shift: 11:00 am - 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday.
May request additional hours when coverage is needed.
