Will develop content that willattract new customers and help keep existing ones engaged. Serves as the digital face of thelibrary and should maintain the same level of customer service provided in the physical library. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Collaborate with Library Director, Library staff and Village Departments to createmarketing materials for departments, programs, and special events.
- Train and collaborate with others in the team.
- Able to work successfully in a team environment, independently, and exercise professional judgment.
- Assisting digital and social media, public relations, and creative teams to select the appropriate media for their projects across different media platforms.
- Scheduling placement of content on digital media platforms.
- Improving awareness using digital media.
- Work with marketing writers and designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
- Working with Camera, video camera, computers, drones, and other recording devices,broadcasting, lighting. Prepare sets.
- Keeps track of updated and new information; what is trending in technology to be addedinto the library services and resources.
- Assists in preparing the annual budget, particularly as it relates to technical services andneeds; prepare cost estimates for budget recommendations; monitor and controlexpenditures.
- Recommends and assists in the implementation of goals and objectives. Assists helps inimplementing policies and procedures.
- Evaluate operations and activities of assigned responsibilities; recommendimprovements and modifications; prepare various reports on operations and activities.
- Anticipates, manages, and maintains accurate records for all expenditures, assuringcompliance with current VPS purchasing procedures.
- Processes invoices for payment in MUNIS ( Enterprise ERP) system
- Manages e-resources platforms, set-up platforms, trains staff on platforms.
- Compiles monthly stats - for all digital content created studio usage.
- Manages and maintains patron services with studio related equipment.
- Maintains accurate lists of subscriptions and licenses being used in the studio.
- Maintains consistency in content development and management.
- Ensure library facilities, equipment, and IT are functioning properly, report issues andfollow up until resolved.
- Liaison with library director to ensure that the public and media specialist are supporting and meeting our community needs.
- Manages inventory and equipment in studio.
- Assists the Library Director with planning and coordinating routine and special projects, as well as the supervision of the efficient operation of the library. Performs related work as required.
- Proven ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.
- Host at least one program a month. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Two (2) years' experience in digital media, marketing, or related field. Bachelors degree is preferred. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Solid knowledge of design and editing programs. Knowledge in programmatic and performance marketing. Brilliant creativity. Thorough attention to detail. Knowledge of the latest media trends. Basic budgeting skills. Police Holiday is paid or comp'd at ten (10) hours for holiday except birthday which is at 8 hours.
