Duties
- Develop and implement policies and procedures related to public works operations.
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of public infrastructure projects including roads, water, and sewer utilities.
- Manage budgets, resources, and personnel to ensure effective project delivery.
- Collaborate with government agencies, contractors, and community stakeholders to facilitate project success.
- Conduct regular assessments of public works facilities and services to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards throughout all public works activities.
- Provide leadership and mentorship to staff, fostering professional development within the department.
Skills
- Proficiency in basic engineering principles.
- Strong Leadership abilities.
- Basic knowledge of Mechanical engineering concepts including mechanical design.
- Ability to perform Root cause analysis for problem-solving.
- Knowledge of Electrical engineering practices relevant to public infrastructure.
- Familiarity Public Works (Sewer and Water Infrastructure).
Salary
- Base pay for the position is 24.23 per hour.
- If you possess a Level 1 Water license additional: 3.50 per hour
- If you possess a Level 1 Wastewater license additional: 4.50 per hour
- If you possess a Level 1 Wastewater license additional: 7.00 per hour
*Potential pay of 34.73 per hour plus yearly step increases!!!!
