What are the responsibilities and job description for the Village Clerk position at Village of Sand Lake?
The Village of Sand Lake is now accepting applications for the Village Clerk position. Candidates with previous Clerk experience with a focus on the job responsibilities listed below and BS&A and some basic accounting knowledge preferred. In addition, it is desired that candidates for this position have strong computer skills as well as communication and organizational skills. The Clerk position is part-time, working 24 hours a week, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM Monday through Thursday in the Village office.
Requirements for this position:
Be the clerical officer of the Council, attend and record all actions of the Village Council at regular meetings (7:00pm on the 3rd Monday of the month) and any special meetings that are scheduled. Process and manage payroll, and accounts payable. Certify all ordinances and resolutions adopted by the Council, be the primary custodian of the Village Charter, resolutions, papers, documents, and other Village records. The clerk will be responsible for managing the website and Village Facebook page. This position also requires you to assist residents and other requestors of information professionally and respectfully.
