The Village of Sussex is now hiring Weekend Ball Field Prep and Maintenance employees to prepare ball diamonds at Village Park and Armory Park on the weekends. Primary responsibilities include: mow infield grass and outfield grass, efficiently use different dragging patterns on the infield dirt, pick up trash around facilities, understand field set up for practice and games and successfully prepare diamonds per schedule, operate Village equipment as relates to ball diamond preparations, accurately line and chalk fields, properly apply field conditioner in wet conditions, and other duties as assigned.
The seasonal position runs from mid-April to mid-August. Applicants must be 18 or older.
Hours: Weekend ball field prep hours are dictated by field rentals but typically 6:30am-11:30am Saturday and Sunday. Work hours are flexible.
