We have an exciting opportunity for a Part-Time Program Coordinator - Harmony Square to perform planning, implementation, coordination and supervision of activities and events for new downtown Harmony Square, a new multi-use plaza on 1.6 acres at the corner of Oak Park Avenue and North Street in the center of Downtown Tinley. Harmony Square will provide for 260 scheduled events in the lively downtown area and this position will be on-site coordinating many of these community events including facility party rentals, jumbo games, interactive light shows, interactive water features, Movies in the Square, winter Ice Rink and many more. Key Responsibilities
The Program Coordinator - Harmony Square will develop, prepare and organize programming for Harmony Square including scheduling, use, and rentals of the facility to ensure successful program execution, a high level of customer service and a seamless experience for all on-site events. They will coordinate and supervise the registration process, staffing for programs, events, and activities including the new winter Ice Rink. They will serve as the primary point of contact for all programming inquiries related to Harmony Square and attend to user needs during events. They will complete administrative duties including preparing program budgets, monitoring expenditures and managing inventory, preparing written correspondence, brochure and flyer content, reports, work orders, timesheets, schedules and other administrative duties related to the day-to-day operations.
This position will also prepare event spaces and coordinate programming details for all scheduled events including but not limited to party room set-ups, VIP space set-ups, green room set-up / stagging, and other on-site, large-scale events. This position will also be responsible on-site management of evening and weekend events, addressing of any potential problems that may arise including planning for potential scenarios that could impact the integrity of the event. They will coordinate and assist with equipment set-up and take down for scheduled programming and events including but not limited to manual labor required for audio-visual (AV) equipment, programming support items (ie. oversized games, musical instruments including piano, tables, chairs, and portable heaters), and other large equipment.
Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills
An Associate's degree is required, a Bachelor's Degree Recreation, Leisure Management or related field is preferred, along with a minimum of one (1) year of related programming experience. Previous experience in event coordination or facilities management is a plus. Prior supervisory experience is preferred. First Aid / CPR Certification required with 3 months of hire. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office.

Additional Information
Weekly schedule will vary, typically scheduled 30-34 hours per week. Must be available to work a variety of evening and weekend hours based on programming needs.
